Do you know what is happening on the planet?
Isak Dinesen
oceans
Nature speaks, sometimes it screams, other times it whispers. Some artists echo those voices through our works. For this reason, painting the seas, the waters and the vast oceans, it is very relevant for me, to raise awareness about what is happening today in these ecosystems.
I did a lot of research on the subject, and it is difficult to summarize what the seas mean in our existence as a species.
I start with some data, I will continue uploading info, or statistics that account for this. The oceans make up more than 90% of the habitable planet and are one of the most relevant biodiversity reserves we have. In this line, 250,000 identified species can be counted, not to mention those that have not yet been known.
As if that were not enough, supply half of the oxygen that people breathe and, per year, absorb 26% of anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions released into the atmosphere.
In a direct relationship, conserving the seas, preserving the oceans is essential for the survival of the species that inhabit it. We return to a basic concept, water, as a constitutive element of life and art as a bridge to connect us to the pulse of the planet.

The sea is no longer what it was.
According to the studies carried out, since 1970, more than 2,300 species of sharks have been_lost and almost one third and rays are in danger of extinction.
That
we can do?
If you go by boat, to the beach
or to a coast
# always take your waste back with you.
# avoid the use of bags and plastic elements that can fly and be thrown away
# do not bury cigarette butts
# respect the fauna and flora of the place
# support environmental organizations
